To make these gluten-free southern fried apples you just need four ingredients: apples, butter, granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. The sliced apples cook in a skillet until soft, sweet and delicious.

Serve this easy fried apples recipe topped with whipped cream, spooned over vanilla ice cream, on grilled pork chops or chicken, or use as a pie filling or pancake topping. It's very friendly and happy wherever you want to use it.

  • You can peel the apples or leave the skin on, your choice.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the sugar and cinnamon and stir until combined.
  2. Add the apples and cook, stirring, until softened, about 6 to 10 minutes. Serve warm or store in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
