Black Olive Vinaigrette Recipe: If You Love Olives, This Will Be Your Favorite Salad Dressing Recipe

Olive this salad dressing. (Sorry, had to do it.) If you want this olive vinaigrette salad dressing recipe a little chunkier, stir in more chopped olives after blending. Serve over fresh romaine lettuce or your favorite salad greens.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Here's how to make it:

Put the olives, vinegar and mustard into a blender. Turn the blender on and slowly drizzle in the olive oil. Blend until smooth.

Pour into a bowl and stir in the shallot and thyme. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Pour into a cruet or airtight container until ready to use.

Oh my goodness, Kalamata olives are my fave! This looks like a great way to put them not only on salad, but steaks or chicken. I'm in! Thanks for the delicious idea, Donna John !

It was really good! Kalamata are my favorite, too. I miss the olive bar at my grocery store. Another thing COVID-19 messed up.

So sad that we have lost simple pleasures like the salad bar or olive bar. We will get back to them someday, I hope. In the meantime, thank you for sharing your genius ideas to bring fresh ideas to the table even during a pandemic, Donna John . xoxo
