20-Minute Recipes: Make This Easy Korean Beef Recipe Tonight (This Is Not a Drill)

Flavorful Korean beef in about 20 minutes? Yep! On nights that you have almost no time to make dinner, this will quickly become your go-to recipe. The poached egg is not required, but does up the wow factor. Serve over rice or your favorite Chinese noodles.

You'll need:

Here's how to make it:

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet. Drain off fat.
  2. Add the garlic and cook about 1 minute.
  3. Add the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring, about 3-5 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped green onions and Sriracha, if desired. If adding a poached egg, simply put it on top of the beef right before serving. (Here's how to cook a poached egg.)

I made this last week. So good! One of the quickest recipes I've made in a long time. I didn't put an egg on it. I made both white rice and rice noodles to go with it. I ate the noodles and my husband mixed the rice and noodles together. (You can't make that up.) ;-) If you try it, be sure to snap a photo and share it and your review here!

Yum! My Korean beef recipe calls for thinly sliced sirloin and takes a lot longer than 20 minutes. Sometimes it's not so tender either. Going to make your recipe soon. Sounds delicious.
