Oatmeal Cookie Recipes: How to Make Old-fashioned Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Winter is a great time to turn on your oven and do some baking. Kids love being in the kitchen to help create these delicious cookies. This chocolate chip oatmeal cookie recipe makes 3 to 4 dozen. 

You'll need:

Here's how to make them:

  1. Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt together in a bowl. 
  2. In a another bowl, beat butter until smooth, about 1 minute. Add the brown sugar and beat for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla. 
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  4. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 13 minutes.
