Buttery Old-Fashioned Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies Recipe (25 Minutes)

When you think of oatmeal cookies, wholesome is the word that may come to mind. There's just something really special about an old-fashioned oatmeal cookie, especially when it's loaded with chocolate chips!

Weekend baking therapy calls for something your family will love and that you can feel good about. This buttery chocolate chip oatmeal cookie recipe is loaded with whole rolled oats, and makes 3 to 4 dozen amazing cookies. Here's what you will need: flour, baking soda, salt, butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, rolled oats and chocolate chips. Simple, wholesome and delicious!

Here's how to make them:

  1. Whisk the flour, baking soda and salt together in a bowl. 
  2. In a another bowl, beat butter until smooth, about 1 minute. Add the brown sugar and beat for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla. 
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  4. Drop in circles onto cookie sheets and bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
