The Impossible™ Whopper® at Burger King®: Will a Meat-Eater Enjoy This Plant-based Burger? Here's the Verdict...

Walking with my plant-based foodie friend today, she introduced me to the impossible. The Impossible™ Whopper® at Burger King® is a 100 percent beef-free burger. She raved about how this burger actually tasted like the real deal. Curiosity got the better of me, so I jumped in the old Honda and hit the drive-thru announcing my impossible order like a boss.

Arriving home, I cut the burger in half to get hubby’s opinion on this mystifying beef-less wonder. We both were shocked at how much it actually tasted like beef.

If you are learning about plant-based eating but want to treat yourself to a little fast food, try the impossible!

Have you tried the Impossible™ Whopper® from Burger King®? What did you think?

Two of my kids are vegan, so I eat vegan a lot when I'm with them. I haven't tried the Impossible Whopper yet, but plan to soon. It's not the vegan burger pattie that bothers me, but the amount of sodium in the burger. But that's to be expected with fast food. I have tried Beyond Burger and it's really good.

And FYI: it would need to be mayo free for our vegan friends.

My kids and I thought it was okay, but didn't think it tasted like beef. Maybe just not here in NY State :) Better option though health wise.

I am so curious about this, Tiffany Zook ! I want to try it. I'm particularly excited about it because I read that one of the best ways to help fight climate change is to not eat beef. I am hopeful that these plant-based alternatives will disrupt things and help not only our health but the health of our planet! Thanks for sharing your experience.

OMG. I haven't been to Burger King in more than a decade but since this has come out, I have been twice (mad props for the diet root beer for the double win) and IM IN LOVE! I had no idea how much I missed the taste of a whopper since going veg, but now I feel like i'm in love. I'm veg with a vegan tendency for all the reasons - started with climate and animals, and is now also health. This burger is a GAME. CHANGER. for me.
