Since I suffer from a chronic illness, I have searched out recipes to help me spice up my meals while helping to kick my body into combating inflammation. Here's a really simple recipe for turmeric eggs that I enjoy often for breakfast or brunch.
To make this healthy egg recipe, simply scramble eggs to your desired doneness and season with salt and pepper. Then, sprinkle in the healthy turmeric and some nutritional yeast, if using. Stir and serve piping hot.
Turmeric is rich in a compound called curcumin, which some studies suggest can help manage oxidative and inflammatory conditions. Nutritional yeast has health benefits, as it contains protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. As always, check with your physician when adding herbs to your diet.
