Classic Rum Drinks: How to Make a Cuba Libre (aka Rum and Coke) Cocktail

A Cuba Libre is pretty much a fancy name for a rum and cola. This cocktail is usually served in a highball glass (though we think that decision is up to you!), with the cola of choice being Coke and the alcohol of choice being light rum.

You'll need:

  • rum
  • cola
  • lime
  • ice
  • mint (optional)

Here's how to make it:

  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Squeeze one or two lime wedges into a highball or whiskey glass.
  3. Pour in one part rum to two parts cola. Stir. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint, if desired.
