Hall of Fame 2-Ingredient Fudge Brownie Recipe Is a Symphony in Your Mouth

A friend turned me on to this way of making brownies years ago. The chocolate bars turn into a decadent chocolate filling, which is gooey if you serve them on warm days and harder on colder days. Either way, this easy brownie recipe is one of the moistest (and easiest!) you'll ever make.

This is one of our fan favorite brownie recipes! The brownies start with a box of brownie mix. All you do to make these chocolate fudge brownies spectacular is put chocolate toffee bars in the middle. Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions, then put half of the batter into a 13x9-inch cake pan. Lay the chocolate bars on top of the batter, and then cover with the remaining brownie batter. Bake according to package directions (do not overbake!). These brownies must cool completely before being cut into squares.

Serve these chocolatey brownies as a snack or for dessert, and get ready for the recipe requests. And yes, technically there are more than two ingredients if you include what you need to make the brownies. But those are pantry ingredients most of us have anyway. So to me, they're two-ingredient brownies.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 20 to 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 to 35 minutes

Servings: Makes approximately 12 to 15 brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix, plus ingredients to make them
  • 3 large Hershey's Symphony bars (or your favorite chocolate bars)

Here's how to make it:

  1. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.
  2. Spread half of the batter into a 13x9-inch baking pan. Top with the chocolate bars.
  3. Pour the remaining batter over the chocolate bars and spread to completely cover. Bake according to package directions.
  4. Allow to cool completely and then cut into bars.

This is not 2 ingredient brownies. This is "add a chocolate bar to your favorite brownie recipe"

Don't knock them until you've tried them. They are delicious and a family favorite. What's your favorite brownie recipe?

He's not knocking your recipe. He's calling out the dishonest title. He is correct this is not a two ingredient recipe

Terrific. If you liked this you will love my 2-ingredient Croquembouche recipe:

Step one, take a large croquembouche tower from your local French patisserie;

Step two, lightly spray with water and add a jar of hundreds & thousands or nonpareils in colours of your choosing, or dust with coke, depending upon your guests' preferences.

Serve and enjoy.
Guaranteed crowd-pleaser. 😉

My family loves these brownies. I'm not skilled enough to make a croquembouche tower, so would probably buy one from the bakery and leave it as it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this beautiful Saturday morning!
