20-Minute Ground Beef Hamburger Steaks Recipe With Tomato Cream Sauce by Jackie Holloway

Whether you're following the keto diet plan or not, your family will love this saucy hamburger steaks recipe. Make the sauce even heartier by adding mushrooms and/or onions.
Serve this ground beef recipe with a salad, vegetables or your favorite side dish. The leftovers can be used to make a delicious sandwich.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 3 ounces feta cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 small bunch parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
Gravy
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 small bunch parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
Here's how to make it:
- Combine the ground beef, egg, cheese, salt, pepper and chopped parsley. Form into eight patties.
- If adding mushrooms and onions, cook them in a little olive oil in a skillet until soft. Season with salt and pepper. Remove to a plate and set aside.
- Cook the patties over medium-high heat in the olive oil and butter for about 10 minutes, or until browned.
- Add the whipping cream and tomato paste to the pan when the patties are almost cooked through. Bring to a simmer. (If you cooked mushrooms and onions, add them back to the pan.) Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley. Serve.
