Hurricane Cocktail Recipe for Mardi Gras (Pat O'Brien Would Be Proud) by 30Seconds Food
Here's a hurricane we love. The famed hurricane cocktail was created by Pat O'Brien, owner of the historic Pat O'Brien's tavern in New Orleans, in the 1940s. With lime, orange, passion fruit and grenadine, it pushes the fruity factor into overdrive.
Mardi Gras is the perfect time to serve this rum cocktail recipe. Maybe with a bowl of red beans and rice or etouffee? It's so easy to make. Put rum, lime juice, orange juice, passion fruit juice, simple syrup, Grenadine and ice into a cocktail drink shaker. Shake! Pour the fruity mixture into a cocktail glass and garnish with orange slices and cherries.
Serve this adults-only cocktail over the weekend and share with friends and family. Don't forget the Mardi Gras beads!
