Thanksgiving Leftovers: How Long Can You Keep Them Safely? Read This!

When it comes to Thanksgiving, a common question is, “How long will cooked turkey stay fresh in the refrigerator?” According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA):

  • Cooked turkey can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. After that, you can store your leftovers for up to four months in the freezer.
  • Turkey broth or gravy can be refrigerated for 2 to 3 days and frozen for 2 to 3 months.
  • Stuffing and mashed potatoes can both last up to 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.

Just remember to keep all of your leftovers stored in airtight containers or storage bags.
