4-Ingredient Frozen Chocolate Mousse Recipe Is Pure Chocolate Heaven

Chocolate. Mousse. Two words that can make a chocolate lover weep. How about a frozen chocolate mousse recipe? Even in the winter months, there's nothing like cold, creamy chocolate.

The quick and easy frozen chocolate mousse recipe is made with whipping cream, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla and rum extract. The rum extract is an optional ingredient, but adds a wonderful flavor to the mousse. If you choose not to use the rum extract, increase the vanilla to 1 teaspoon.

This super simple chocolate mousse recipe takes less than 10 minutes to whip up. Pop it in the freezer for two hours, then get ready for the recipe requests. This four-ingredient creamy chocolate mousse would be a delicious ending to your Valentine's Day meal. Be sure to top it with a fresh strawberry or raspberry!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum extract (optional)

Here's how you make it:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Beat ingredients until the mixture begins to mound.
  2. Spoon into individual dessert cups. 
  3. Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours before serving. Serve with chocolate curls, strawberries or as is.
