Green beans are a favorite for everyday and for holiday meals. Here’s how to dress up your green beans.

Ingredients
- green beans
- bacon
- olive oil
- brown sugar (optional)
- melted butter (optional)
- almonds (optional)
Here’s how to make it:
- Bundle 8 to 10 fresh beans together and wrap with raw bacon. Drizzle a roasting pan or ovenproof skillet with olive oil or nonstick cooking spray and arrange the bundles in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper.
- Top with brown sugar, melted butter and sliced or slivered almonds, if desired. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree F oven until bacon is done, about 20 to 25 minutes.
Notes: The brown sugar and butter will caramelize with the roasted nuts. For a healthier option, lightly sauté strips of red pepper to tie your bundles and replace sugar and butter with herbs and olive oil.
