These chicken wing appetizers are tangy bites of pure happiness!

Sweet, crispy and juicy, these honey barbecue chicken wings have it all. The baked chicken wings are perfect for tailgating, parties or even as a quick kid-friendly lunch or dinner.

To make these crispy baked honey barbecue chicken wings you will need chicken flats and drumettes, flour, baking powder, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, barbecue sauce and honey. Serve these easy, delicious chicken wing snacks with your favorite dipping sauce.

  • If you're tailgating, you can make these ahead of time and just throw them on the grill to heat up.

Here’s how you make it:

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, chili powder, garlic powder and onion powder in a bowl. 
  2. Combine the barbecue sauce and honey. Set aside. 
  3. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Dip each chicken piece in the seasoned flour.
  4. Place chicken wings on an oiled baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F for about 15 minutes. Turn the wings and bake another 10 minutes, or until cooked through. 
  5. Brush the wings generously with the barbecue sauce. Cook about 5 more minutes.
