National Candy Day: How to Make Chocolate Almond Toffee in 30 Minutes (Yes, You Can!)

Chocolate almond toffee is perfect as a sweet gift – or just because. And it's ready in 30 minutes.

You’ll need:

Here’s how you make it:

  1. Combine first three ingredients in a small, heavy saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring just until combined.
  2. Bring to a boil. Cook, without stirring, until a candy thermometer registers 325 degrees F or until syrup begins to caramelize.
  3. Stir in vanilla and salt.
  4. Working carefully and quickly, pour sugar mixture onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Spread the mixture to free-form shape. Let it stand 3-5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate over warm toffee. Spread melted chocolate in a thin, even layer over toffee.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with chopped almonds. Allow to harden. Break into pieces.
