Using a cake mix to make cookies - is it cheating? Nope. Cake mix is a cookie recipe ingredient, just like flour or sugar or vanilla. By using a mix, you save time (fewer ingredients to measure), money (cake mixes are inexpensive) and mess (one bowl will usually do it). 

But the best part is that they are endlessly creative. Use any flavor you want – yellow, white, chocolate, spice, cherry, butter pecan, devil's food, lemon. Try cookie recipes in all forms - bar cookies, drop cookies, sandwich cookies. And add creative decorations!
