In a previous article, I discussed the principal benefits of incorporating audio recording feedback into your communication with your principal coach. This article provides an in depth look at the use of feedback to further optimize your principal coaching relationship. This process can be used in a variety of different ways and is a powerful means for transforming communication between you and your principal coach. Audio recording feedback is especially helpful because it provides a way for you to validate your principal coach's communication and provide him or her with another set of eyes to read what he or she has written. Using the feedback provided through audio recording, coaches can avoid or remedy many common mistakes made when communicating via verbal means.

In this article, we will examine how audio recording can be used to ensure more effective communication courses with your principal coach. When I presented my case study to the coaching community, many people were surprised to see just how much effective communication courses can benefit a principal coach and his or her team. In addition to benefiting the coach and his or her staff, effective communication courses can also benefit the students as well. During our discussion, one of the students expressed frustration with the amount of time spent on presentations and short discussions with classmates. I encourage teachers to consider audio recording as a tool for improving the quality of their students' presentations and class discussions.

The most important benefit of effective communication courses is to ensure you are communicating effectively with your student's peers. You do not need to spend large amounts of time in communication training classes to communicate effectively with your fellow students. In fact, you may be surprised at how quickly and easily you can develop better communication skills just by applying yourself in small amounts of time. To improve your communication skills, you should focus on listening carefully to your students and responding accordingly. In addition to developing good listening skills, you should ensure that you are communicating your ideas clearly and in an understandable manner. If your students are unable to understand what you are trying to say, they will fail to learn and understand what you are attempting to teach.

Effective communication courses help you build a solid foundation of communication skills that will serve you well throughout your career. You and your co-workers will find that you have more opportunities to collaborate on projects, solve problems, and create solutions to complex problems when you are able to effectively communicate your thoughts and ideas clearly. Effective communication allows you to: communicate with others about important issues such as teamwork; communicate effectively on a variety of topics; provide feedback on the performance of others; and build better working relationships. Effective communication also allows you to: build and use effective communication tools such as e-mail, text messaging, web chat, video conferencing, and messaging apps, communicate more effectively with your teaching team, and more importantly: build and utilize a sense of trust and accountability within your organization.

Effective communication skills are developed through a consistent coaching process. Effective communication skills require that you consistently listen, respond, offer feedback, explain concepts, and encourage participants to ask questions. Your understanding of feedback, understanding that some people need a little extra push to be able to express their thoughts and ideas fully, and your ability to offer constructive feedback will strengthen your communication skills. You will also learn how to communicate your expectations for the person speaking, and why you expect certain behaviors from them.

Effective Communication Courses include two components, namely: primary learning, which are the training; and practice, which are what you do when you are in the classroom or in practice. Both components can be facilitated by a principal coach, who has experience coaching students and helping them practice their lessons. A primary coach will guide you through a course of development, helping you to gain valuable information and practice effective listening skills. He or she will also guide you during a practice session, ensuring that you are fully prepared to present your information and answers to your audience. Principals often work with established coaches, and it may be possible to find a highly experienced coach in your area.

Effective Communication Courses can be facilitated by a professional facilitator, either at your school or at an outside coaching center. If you feel that you may need a little additional support during your training, consider enrolling in a certification program, which will allow you to take the skills you have learned to a certification exam. Once you complete a certification program, coaches can continue to help you in a variety of ways, such as directing you toward practice sessions and providing you with a list of resources for keeping up with your development. For most coaches, a taster session is usually conducted within a week or two of completing the course.
