Face Mask Giveaway Winners: Encouraging the Use of Face Masks Won These Ladies Face Masks From SwaddleDesigns

And the winners are...

Congratulations to Anna Summit and Dawn Taylor – they both won an adult and child face mask from SwaddleDesigns! Here's how they encourage the use of face masks in their family and community:

"I definitely wear a mask when I enter any buildings, stores, coffee shops, etc. I have a variety of types so I can mix it up and keep things interesting, and also so I can wash them. This is just one way that I feel I can do my part to protect both others and myself. And for those who say we are being forced or bullied into it, or it's too uncomfortable, I simply ask, 'Do you wear a seat belt?' Wearing a seat belt is not the most comfortable thing I do each day, but it's the law, and that law was put into place for our safety. I think not wearing a mask is both selfish and rebellious. Let's each put everyone's needs and health ahead of our own agenda. Character over comfort!" – Anna Summitt

"I wear a mask whenever I am out of the house. It is not just for me but for others. Something stuck with me about other countries where people aren't resisting wearing them and the reason was given that they are taught to do things for the greater good, not just themselves and this mentality somehow has gotten lost in this pandemic here at home. Maybe it's time to reset and stop thinking about our own discomforts and look at the bigger picture, not just when wearing masks but in our daily lives. We need to take care of each other to make the world a better place."  Dawn Taylor

Wearing face masks all the time. I’m giving them away as gifts so people have no excuse not to wear them! 😷

When I see friends I yell, “ I’m smiling under this mask!”

I think role modeling is the best thing we can do. Wear a mask wherever we go so others see us doing it (our kids, too). Kind of like wearing a seatbelt, we just have to get used to it. Not saying I enjoy it, but saying it's one of the best ways we have right now to try and get out of this awful situation we are in.

I’m wearing a face mask and I look for the most comfortable ones to give to the people who object because the mask is too hot or they can’t breathe through it and explain” I have the same problem, but I would hate to think I may have given the virus to someone if I didn’t wear it.”

Please wear a mask, everyone!!

Look at the bright side when you wear a mask you don't have to bother putting on lipstick. Anyway they accentuate your beautiful eyes

I let my daughter and her friends decorate their masks. My child added cat whiskers to hers and a jewel nose :) I try to look at it as a fashion accessory and what girl doesn't love accessorizing? lol

Always!!! Everyone in my family is wearing a mask!! It amazes my how many I see walking around that don't wear one. My wearing a mask shows that I care about you. Someone else not wearing a mask just makes me think they are just to stubborn or just don't care about other's. And don't get me started on the Political statement some are making by not wearing one.

We simply use them! And I have responded to people who needed more information about why they are important to wear in public (and privately if some has been exposed or is at risk).

I really like the colors and designs of these face masks.

I wear my mask everywhere I go. Period. My children do not even question it anymore because they see me doing it. They know we are not going in the store or wherever we are until they have that mask on. I've sat in the car longer than necessary quite often waiting for them to remember. I don't tell them. I want them to get in the habit of doing it on their own, not because they heard Mom nagging.

I set up a little COVID supply station by our door. There’s fresh masks in a basket RIGHT BY THE CAR/HOUSE KEY HOOKS and there’s gloves and hand sanitizer as well. All car glove compartments have a baggie with masks and hand sanitizer as well. There’s a cute sign on my door that reminds everyone who enters to immediately wash their hands. Sometimes I put a little sticky note on cellphones with a happy face as a reminder as well. It’s just something we all have to do right now as an extra step in protecting ourselves and others.

We ask everyone we know to wear masks because it is important. At home, we wash our hands well and process food packages. Because I was told by a friend that there may also be this infection on the surface.
