When I tell people my story of selling everything to travel the world, they usually ask me how I was able to let go of possessions, travel the world and follow my dreams. Most of the time they aren’t asking me how I physically did it, they are asking me how I did it emotionally

There isn’t a short answer, but I can tell you I have grown a lot over the years, much of which is due to some pretty powerful books I have read. They taught me to let go and live in the present moment, to follow my dreams and live the life I want. If you can find the time, these five books are worth the read:
