Q. Why is play important for children?
"Play allows children to show their interests and express their thoughts and emotions, understanding of the world, for teachers to observe and follow through."
Q. What's your favorite memory working with kids?
"My favorite memory working with kids is them expressing their love for me as their teacher. In Asia, expectations on male and female teachers are not the same. Male teachers are limited on how much we can handle kids, and seeing them express their love to male teachers as much as female teachers makes me feel that I’m doing a great job."
Q. What's your favorite book to read to the classroom?
"My favorite book to read are Eric Carle books!"
Q. What would you tell someone thinking about going Into Early Childhood Education?
"For those thinking of going into the field, this job won’t make your pockets full but [will] your heart. You’ll see and understand love and life expressed in so many ways, which will make you rich in gratitude and purpose. Keeps young, too!"
