Dads & Moms May Parent Differently: Here's Why It's OK!

As a mom of three, my husband and I don’t always agree on how to parent or how to keep up with the house. Here are some of my personal tips to show love:

  • Respect the other and show the kids that different ways of doing things are just that – different.
  • Breathe. If you want to take control by stepping in, don’t. Just walk away and let the other parent handle it their way.
  • Learn from each other. Watch how your children respond to the other. You might just change your own ways.
  • Let it go. Who cares if the dishwasher gets loaded the wrong way. Be thankful it got loaded!

At the end of the day, appreciate one another for who you are, what you do for the other and how you show love. In these small moments, your kids will always remember how their parents respected each other.
