How to Make DIY Bubble Solution: This Easy & Economical Bubbles Recipe Keeps Them Flowing (and Blowing)

There's nothing like bubbles to keep kids (and adults!) smiling. But buying all that bubble liquid can get expensive, especially if you're using it in a bubble machine! (Did you know that bubble machines can help keep mosquitoes away?)

Try making your own bubble solution so you always have plenty on hand. Here's what you need for a big batch (you can play around with this; it's a very forgiving recipe).

You'll need:

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons glycerine (available at the pharmacy)
  • 1 gallon water

Here's how to make it:

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl or bucket. (If using a slotted spoon, you may even be able to blow bubbles through the slats!)

Grab some wands and start blowing bubbles. Or, pour the mixture into your bubble machine and watch the bubbles fly!
