My Favorite Mother's Day Gift: A New Red Bike & Bicycle Shopping Tips

My most memorable Mother’s Day happened in 1996. I was recovering from foot surgery and my husband, 3-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son went shopping and when they returned, my daughter burst into the house and said, “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, guess what we got for you! A red bike!" Nothing like the gift of good health from my family to absolutely make my day!

When shopping for the perfect bike for Mom, ask the following questions:

  • What will Mom use it for? Cruising the neighborhood? Running errands? Racing?
  • Does the bike give Mom the potential to grow?
  • Does the company provide a fitting and maintenance?
  • How should Mom take care of it?
