Dry Hair? Here's What My Hair Stylist Told Me Not to Do (& It Worked)! by Mindy Hudon, M.S., CCC-SLP

I have coarse, dry hair especially between salon treatments. It’s like a rat's nest! I asked my hair stylist what to do about it and she asked me if I regularly used hairspray. I said, “Yeah, I grew up in the 80s!” She told me to avoid hairspray and other hair-care products that contain alcohol, which can be very drying to the hair.

So, I went cold turkey! And guess what? I can’t believe the difference in the texture of my hair. It’s so soft and smooth even between salon treatments! If you have coarse, dry hair, try going cold turkey and see if it makes a difference in the texture of your hair.
