Natural Deodorant: I'm a Convert & Not Even Sure Why (Here Are My Favorites!)

There's a lot to be said for "going natural" with your skin-care products. I mean, what's not to like? I switched from the drugstore deodorant I have been using for pretty much my whole life to a natural solution because it seems like a no-brainer. It wasn't because some article convinced me chemical deodorants were slowly killing me. I just ... switched. 

My biggest concern was that a natural deodorant wouldn't work to stifle the post-workout smell, which I never believed was that bad until my husband and sons told me otherwise. Thanks, guys. I experimented with several to compare scents and effectiveness, and here are the winners: 

  • Rosy Pits by Megababe:  This product had an insane wait list, and for good reason. With coconut oil, green tea and vitamin E, its simple formulation works perfectly and smells lovely.
  • Alaffia Coconut and Charcoal: This one also uses tropical coconut along with neem, odor-neutralizing charcoal, protective shea and reishi (mushroom).
