Frizzy Hair Remedies: Tame Your Mane With These Frizz-Fighting Tricks by Belinda Lichty Clarke
July marks the beginning of what I not so lovingly refer to as "big hair season." Whether you have thin or thick hair, heat plus humidity is a fast track to frizz. Here are few tricks to try to keep your hair under control:
- Blow dry your hair (just a little). Air drying is often recommended in the summer to stay cool and give your hair a rest. However, if you have an ionic dryer, just a minute or two of drying time on the lowest heat can help keep your style under control. If your dryer has a cool blast button, use it for the final 30 seconds.
- Switch to frizz-fighting shampoo. Argan oil is great for both skin and hair. Inoar's Thermoliss shampoo, conditioner and de-frizzing balm are infused with argan oil, silk amino acids and provitamin B5 to penetrate hair keep humidity out.
- Try a hair oil, and don't be afraid to be generous. Today's hair oils are lightweight and many smell absolutely incredible. Ouai's best-selling hair oil smoothes frizz and seals split ends and leaves hair glossy, not greasy. Key ingredients include African galanga, ama and Asian borage oils keep color from fading and protect hair from the heat.
