Abid Alam born in 1960 and raised in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Then I attended Shimoni Demonstration and Nakasero Primary school. Thirdly, I went to Nairobi for my Secondary and completed my college in the United States. When I returned from the United States, I set up a construction company in Soroti district instead of joining the family businesses. Five years later, I became the Managing Director of Alam Group where I currently hold the Group Managing Director Position.
