Mom of two teenagers, a 13-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter, and one fur child, a Havanese named Lolly. Wife of Donny for 20 years in July. I sew, knit, crochet, embroidery, smock, tat and do woodworking. I am also the director of the Roberts Family Foundation, a non-profit started by my father-in-law. We support charities committed to the betterment of the lives of children and young adults in our community through the advancement of education. We also support the veterans in our community to afford life's necessities not covered by their pensions, most of us take for granted. This could be something as simple as building a wheelchair ramp into one's home so they can have access without taxing family or friends who would otherwise be required to assist them. Most of all, we believe in keeping it local.
Last, but not least, I'm the inventor and woman-owned small business of the Bagwell, or extra set of hands. The Bagwell is a kitchenware product designed to securely hold a gallon size resealable plastic bag open for filling with anything suitable to be stored in a plastic bag. With the Bagwell's social media network's platform, I'm raising awareness for charities I support, such as Project Linus, National Headscarf Day and to donate preemie and bereavement clothing to NICU charities.
