Mom of two teenagers, a 14-year-old son and 18-year-old daughter, and one fur child, a Havanese named Lolly. Wife of Donny for 20 years in July. Motherhood is sort of like Toads Wild Ride! I keep (too) busy with my hobbies, sewing, knitting and woodworking as well as occasionally a bit of crocheting, embroidery, smocking and tatting.
I am the director of the Roberts Family Foundation, a non-profit started by my father-in-law. We support charities committed to the betterment of the lives of children and young adults in our community through the advancement of education. We also support the veterans in our community to afford life's necessities not covered by their pensions, most of us take for granted. This could be something as simple as building a wheelchair ramp into ones home so they can have access without taxing family or friends who would otherwise be required to assist them. Most of all, we believe in keeping it local.
In December 2010 I took delivery of my first shipment of The Bagwell. My invention I first thought of in 1996 that came to fruition 14 years later. The Bagwell is a kitchenware product designed to securely hold a gallon size resealable plastic bag open for filling with anything suitable to be stored in a plastic bag. I’ve learned that 99% of success is persistence!
