Munich, Germany: A Walk-able City Alive With Culture Everywhere You Look! by Elisa Schmitz

Wherever you go in Munich, Germany, you'll see a city alive with culture. Talented musicians are on every street corner, in every park or shopping plaza. Rather than asking for handouts, these performers simply play their instrument for the enjoyment of others. Whether it's a piano on a patch of grass, a cello on a park bench or a full band in the center of town, the city sounds like a concert, wherever you walk.

Passersby stop to listen and, to show their appreciation, drop a few coins in the container that is likely nearby. No words are exchanged; it's a simple relationship of providing a rich artistic experience in exchange for a smile (or a Euro or two).

Munich is a safe, highly walk-able city, and this added culture makes strolling the city streets a true pleasure!
