Why Trusting Your Teenager Is Vital to Building a Good Relationship!

As a mom of two teenagers, there have been times when my kids have done something that surprised me and times they have disappointed me. But I believe they learned from their mistakes, and my reaction to their mistake was paramount. 

They were looking for my reaction and needing my guidance. Make sure you reaffirm with your child that it wasn't them as a person you are disappointed in, but rather the choice they made that was disappointing to you. Make sure you use the opportunity to discuss ways to handle the situation in a more positive and productive way.

And, above all, trust them!
