How to Grow an Indoor Herb Garden: Gardening Indoors Is a Fun Family Activity by Elisa Schmitz

No matter the weather, you and your kids can grow your own herb garden right inside your house. You can grow herbs from seeds, or you can buy them pre-grown at the grocery store and transplant them into pretty pots. Have kids nurture them by giving them enough sunlight and water, then have kids cut and put their herbs into dishes you cook together.

We’re big fans of cilantro, basil and parsley, and we grow and use them in sauces and dishes like guacamole. What a great lesson for kids, to actually grow the foods they’re going to be eating!

I've always grown herbs outside, but will try it inside this winter. Nothing like cooking with fresh herbs! Ashlee Smith Elisa All 30SecondMom
